The park is open every day of the week and uses two seasons: summer from 16 March to 14 October, winter from 15 October to 15 March. It opens at 8:30 in both. Last entry is 18:00 in summer and 15:30 in winter, and you should leave the area shortly before closing.

Leaving the area
The official page asks visitors to leave the archaeological area by 19:00 in summer and by 16:40 in winter, before the gates close. In winter, with last entry at 15:30, it is best to arrive by mid-morning.
Free days
Entry is free on the first Sunday of every month, on 25 April, 2 June and 4 November. On these days you cannot book online: you collect the free ticket at the park ticket office on the day. We could not confirm whether hours change on free days, so check the official site.
Evening openings and special events
Evening openings and special events, such as the Venerdì di Ercolano or the Museum Night, have their own tickets, sold on the park's ticket platform. They are separate from the normal day ticket.
